One of the great things about living in student apartments near UVU is how close you are to the mountains. If you haven’t explored any of them yet, here are a few different hikes you can try!
Bonneville Shoreline Trail
The Bonneville Shoreline Trailhead should be just a short drive from your UVU student housing. It is an easier 1.5 mile hike. Because it’s an easier not-too-far-away hike, it can be pretty busy so keep that in mind. Don’t forget to bring water even when it’s just a short hike!
Canyon View Park Provo River Loop
The Canyon View Park Provo River Loop is about a 15 minute drive from the Axis and other student apartments near UVU. This trail is a nice paved loop-around trail. It’s also only 1.5 miles and takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Little Rock Canyon Summit
If you don’t want to go a long distance but would like a bit of a workout, Little Rock Canyon Summit is the perfect trail for you. It’s also only a 15 minute drive from UVU student living areas. This hike is moderately difficult because although it’s only 2 miles, it’s very steep.
Little Baldy
This trail is in lindon so a little further away from UVU student housing. It is also a very hard hike. The hike to Little Baldy is 8 miles, and takes 4.5 hours to complete. During the hike you’ll see some beautiful cliffs, peaks and wildlife.
Slate Canyon Trail
Just like the others, this trail is only 15 minutes away from most UVU student apartments, which is just one of the perks of living at Axis. This hike is a hard 8.5 mile hike with many steep inclines. The trail is popular for horseback riding and mountain biking as well.
