Proximity to Campus
- The whole reason you need student housing, is because you’re a student! Living close to campus can save you a lot of time and money when you don’t have to commute and pay for a parking pass.
- The Axis is just across the sky bridge from UVU! Save money on transportation and a parking pass by walking to class.
Parks, Shopping, & Entertainment
- When searching for housing near UVU, you also want to consider if an apartment’s location will support your lifestyle. It can be inconvenient if you like to eat out but your apartment is miles from any restaurants, or if you like to walk in nature to relax and you’re nowhere near any parks. You also don’t want to live in a food desert. Is your student apartment near grocery stores?
- The Axis has an on-site Bucked Up location, an on-site convenience store, and and on-site restaurant. It is also next to dozens of restaurants, only a 5-minute drive from Walmart, and less than 2 miles away from Utah Lake.
Transportation
- It is essential to consider your ability to get around when choosing where to live. If you have a car you may consider the proximity to highways and your job, but if you don’t have personal transportation, being near public transportation is crucial.
- The Axis is located right next to the I-15 University Parkway interchange allowing fast and easy travel all over. Axis is also just a short walk away from the UTA Trax station and bus stop.
Picking the Right Apartment
There are so many things you have to consider when choosing a student apartment, but these are some of the most important.
Furnished or Unfurnished
- Buying and moving your own furniture in college is a huge hassle, and can be quite costly. Apartments at The Axis come fully furnished with everything you need!
- Living rooms and kitchens come with seating and a TV. Each bedroom has a bed, a closet, and a desk for studying.
Shared or Private Rooms
- Shared rooms can save you some money but at the sacrifice of your privacy
- At Axis, we offer shared and private apartments, but even in a shared apartment you always have your own private space.
Pet Policy
- Whether you have a furry friend or you are allergic to them, you’ll want to make sure you know the UVU student apartment’s pet policy.
- No pets are allowed at the Axis.
Security
- Proper security measures at your apartment complex are important for your safety and peace of mind. You’ll want to ask the community manager if the community is gated, if access to hallways is restricted to key holders, about lighting at night, and about their security cameras.

Lease Terms
An apartment lease agreement is a legally binding contract between a landlord and tenant that outlines the terms and conditions of renting an apartment. It includes information such as the length of the lease, rent amount, security deposit, and rules and regulations for living in the apartment. No matter where you live, always make sure you understand the terms of your lease before signing!

Lease Terms
Length: Year Long Contracts – August 19th to July 31st
Security Deposit: $300
Guarantor or Co-Signer: A co-signer is only required if you do not have a qualifying credit score.

How do I pay rent?
Please log in to your resident portal and click on the payments icon in the top navigation bar.
How can I submit a maintenance request?
Log in to your resident portal and scroll down from the resident dashboard to the service request section to submit your maintenance request ticket.
Can I choose my roommates?
We accept roommate requests. After signing a lease you will receive a text message where you can submit your roommate request.
What is the pet policy?
No pets allowed. Contact the office for more info.
